A pre-Baptism course of instruction for first time parents seeking Baptism for their children is a requirement of St. John Parish. The instruction is given on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 7:00 p.m. At this instrustion we discuss the meaning of Baptism and the role of parents in their children's spiritual development. A short video reviews the rite of Baptism and examines the meaning of each element of the rite, and discusses the role of both parents and godparents. The course of instruction is led by Fr. Mark and a mother from the Parish.
Please see the weekly parish bulletin for the scheduled class of the month. Both parents should attend, if possible. Babies are welcome. Before attending the pre-Baptism instruction, parents must call the Parish Office at 860-635-5590 to register for the instruction.
